To follow up on what Gargamel360 posted, we can help you here with your problem since we are available 24/7 and reply quickly. As he posted, follow the directions of obtaining an MBAM log (make sure you update MBAM first) and the OTS logs (save them as ANSI and not Unicode). Post the MBAM log and the OTS log as an attachment (Additional Options > Attach > Post). We will review the logs and if needed refer you to our Certified Malware Removal Expert.
What kind of error are you getting with Avast?
Have you tried an Avast Repair:
- Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Avast Antivirus.
- Scroll down and choose Repair function in the pop-up window.
- Reboot.
It is possible that the malware has either disabled your antivirus (AV) or removed files from the machine needed for Avast to work. The logs will assist us in figuring out the problem.
Please do not make any further changes to the machine after you have provided the logs.
Can you also in your next post please give a screen shot of what is in the Virus Chest? If you are unable to give a screen shot, the type in your post the file name and location along with the name of the malware. Thank you.
