I too have the trz***.tmp infection that started today. When I start Windows 7, 64 I get 17 files on my taskbar. Windows said that it can’t open files. The only thing I ran was “ExterminateIt” scanner. Found a bunch of tracking programs, 2 malwares, 1 Trojan horse. It was able to eliminate all but the (K-4 ?) Trojan horse, where it froze the program “ExterminateIt”.
I have stopped ALL attempts at fixing this. Pleeeze, help me!

The control panel/programs says it’s already uninstalled and do I want to remove it from the list. Yet it still will run. (ExterminateIt) Should I just go to the folder and delete it the old fashioned way?
The FRST fix will remove it

I had disconnected both an external hard drive and a usb stick. Am I okay there as well?
If you are using USB and external drives then do the following
Download MCShield to your desktop and install
It will initially run a scan and show the result as a toaster by the system clock
Then in the control centre select scanner and tick unhide items on flash drives
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/mcshield%20unhide.JPG
Plug in the drive and McShield will start a scan
Then get the log which will be located under the logs tab on the main page
And post that
