I bought a license for 3 machines. Loaded one to my laptop (Windows XP/Internet Firefox) and I am on it right now…no problem. I loaded a second one to my desktop (also XP/Internet Firefox) and after restart, the desk top machine will not access the internet. What should I do? (message reads “Can’t find server”)
Thank you for your reply. No, nothing to interfere that I know of. The firewall is Sunbelt, my spyware detection is Counterspy (both are paid subscriptions and I’ve used them for several years now). Basically, the same exact programs I had 1 minute before I updated my paid Avast subscription to the new paid Avast subscription and the problem began. The day after my post here, my laptop would not access the internet either. I put in a tech support request on 4/2 which has gone unanswered, so I’m done. I make my living on the computer and so I was forced to un-install Avast from both systems and buy something else. I’ll just pay the charge for the 3 licenses and forget about it. I enjoyed Avast when it worked, but I don’t have the time or energy for this problem. This is not your fault, so please forgive me, I’m just frustrated. Thanks for your willingness to help, I do appreciate it.
pfarmer, Sunbelt will conflict with AIS as both are firewall. Counterspy could conflict with avast due to the resident modules of both.
