Who exactly do I have to plead with to get my old (marc-d-l) account back?

Al someone has to do is login with the email the account was originally registered to.

Actually, signing in with my e-mail address didn’t work for me. I know I was using the correct password, but it kept saying it wasn’t right. I had to request a new password. I thought I was just changing the password to my old account, but alas not. Now I don’t have my old user name and it’s showing I have no previous posts. 
Could someone send me that link to request my old account? Clicking on the link in the above post wouldn’t work for me either

I my case that wasn’t the fix. Somehow the email that was originally associated with myAvast account (for years) wasn’t the email that was necessary and I was unaware the second email address (which was never initially used for anything other then Post email notifications) became the email I needed to use.
Thankfully chocholo assisted and the rest is history

Are you logging in at the forum ?
If so try logging in at your My.avast.com account as when you open the forums it should recognise you.
The avast forum name is the my.avast.com email address, your password should be as normal up to the point where you change it.
I want my account back too. My previous account: streamck (u=262418).
