Hello guys,I have a application software which is programmed to run files from usb devices in windows.I want to know will avast antivirus detect it as a virus? And if detects how to make it perfect to not detect as a virus? I have uploaded it in here : www.datafilehost.com/d/12541a1e . Please help me by suggesting me…Thank you…
Try to upload to virustotal. Virustotal gives more information to help us do the
necessary research.
You can upload the file directly to avast by using virus(at)avast(dot)com in a password protected zip file.
You can use something in the nature of “sample” for a password.
On-access scanning, unsigned, low prevalence, and running from a USB may all trigger detection. I’m not going to run it to find out.
Thank you for reply.I scanned it in virustotal the link is https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/cba25df7e85f0c7440578246b5e8139501aa0b1c7ad11fa1492985287e42c19d/analysis/ .What dose it means? Is it ok?
If you click on the “additional information” tab in the virustotal link and scroll down
towards the bottom you will find “Symantec reputation” is suspicious.
Have you uplaoded the file to avast per my instructions above.
You will find “7zip” works great for compressing files. As a matter
of fact that’s how avast compresses the install/download file(s).

Thanks for your reply.I uploaded the file to virus@avast.com but nobody replied me.Please tell me, will avast detect it as a virus if i share the software with my friends?
Is there a reason why you can’t install Avast and test it yourself?
Unfortunately VirusTotal can’t replicate the functionality of the real time protection scans of avast - there are functions that aren’t carried out in an on-demand scan DeepScreen, checking against avast’s cloud database, etc.
There have been cases when avast is shown as no detection on VirusTotal, but are detected on real time (on-access) scans. So no one can give you the guarantee that you are seeking.
And I believe this is a excellent point.
IMO, It’s prudent to adivise to update Avast and run Full Scan BEFORE relying on Virus Total completely.
