I want to manually updating avast because...

Hi,
Great program and i installed it on other pc`s etc of my family and friends too.

But that annoying updating together with booting the machine is very frustrating because it
becomes slow. On old laptaps it works great too but that automatic updating is what people doesn`t like
because they have to wait till updating is completed.

Is it possible to stop the automating updating so it happens only when i want to do it manually?

hey yes you can chance that. but im not 100% where to do that someone more knowledge will give you the way how.

HI if you have the free version of avast on your computer go to the homepage of avast and then in the right corner click on the settings tab. Then click on the update tab and their you can manually update engine and virus definitions manually if you wish all you do is select manual update. You can also do this with program updates again all you do is select manual update under PROGRAM and then push the ok button.

what update are you talking about?.....i would keep the virus signature on auto

One time updating is enough per day.
