I want to turn off automatic renewal. I don’t believe I enabled it in the first place, but I see that it is enabled and I want it turned off. I do not do that with anything. I decide when and IF I am going to renew when the time comes. I sent a message asking for this information and got no reply. At this point in time, I was much happier using the free version than I am with this paid version I am using now. If things don’t improve soon I will just uninstall and count the money I spent as a loss and go on.
Hi butterfly325, welcome to the forum
You can cancel auto renewal here https://www.avast.com/find-order
Also Avast! has a 30 days refund policy, but you have to submit a ticket for it https://support.avast.com/
But I am curious why you were happier happier with the free version.
Are there any problems we can help you with ?
Greetz, Red.
I have been attempting to contact someone regarding my automatic renewal for a week now. I have my order # but apparently the password used for it is different than the one I use to log in to my main account. I submitted a support ticket a week ago, and have not received a response. I have also sent multiple requests for password retrieval, to no avail. Please advise as to where I might be able to reach an actual person to discuss this issue vs simply submitting an unanswered support ticket.
You just need to have patience.
avast is trying to handle all tickets within 10 business days.
Unfortunately there are people who are cluttering the system with multiple tickets making the wait time longer.
Do NOT submit a new ticket or change the current one, that will put you back to the bottom of the stack.
The portal contains a link to reset your password. Once you enter your order number, you will be issued a new password via email. What’s more, the original confirmation and/or reminder email should also contain this information (order number and password)
If you could provide me with you ticket number, I will be sure to look into this immediately.
I think I discovered another possible piece of the puzzle. The email associated w my main Avast account is @gmail.com but it’s also been listed within my program as @gmil.com - so I’m afraid the attempted password reset emails are basically being sent into limbo somewhere.
My order is: 14816620742
Your order already has automatic renewal disabled. I have also corrected the email address; yes it was misspelled
Did you raise a ticket by any chance? if so, please let me know the ticket number so that we can close it out (and avoid a duplicate action, unnecessarily)
No I do not have a ticket number.
Is there a way to verify if my renewal was disabled by a satff person recenty? If auto renewal wasn’t set up in the first place I should not have been charged. I am also curious how I’d have otherwise been made aware of the change.
I received a ticket number shortly after my most recent reply. It is:
