I am trying to uninstal avast from my phone but I can’t.
I followed the steps:
-I went to settings - avast! anti-theft removal wizard
-I put the password
-I chose the direct write method
-I pressed uninstal and a “uninstalling” message was appeared in the screen.
However the uninstalation was never completed and the message was never disappeared.
I tried again but the result was the same. I just want to remove completely and fovever this application from my phone.
What should I do???
1)I had removed anti-theft as a device administrator from the beginning of my uninstallation attempts.
2)I finally managed to unistal it after 2 hours of attempts without doing something different.
3)I uninstal it because the application doesn’t supply the function of editing the applications’ permission.
This feature is a very important one for me so I prefer to instal LBE privacy.
I also requested this feature but I was reassured that it won’t be available in the near future.
4)Although I have uninstalled avast antivirus and anti-theft, the state of my avast account shows that my phone still has the avast antivirus but not the anti-theft. Why the antivirus remains in the state of my account?
I hope that I have completely remove it. How can I check it that nothing have remained in my phone?
It takes some time to change the state of your phone detail on the web portal. So, please check this again later.
To make sure you have completely removed AMS, go to Applications and find out avast! Mobile Security. If this program does not exist, AMS has already removed from your phone.
With anti-theft, you can see its custom name in Device Administrators. And check if the custom name of anti-theft does not exist. On the other hand, you can try dialing your PIN and check if it open anti-theft interface or not.
After 5 hours the state on the web portal remains the same: “Security Status: Secured” & “Anti-Theft:NOT INSTALLED”
The application is not appeared in my app list.
Are there any remnants on my phone or the web portal needs more time to be updated?
now I’m not sure, but I think it will just fade away on the portal. If the last communication time doesn’t update, it is most probable the app is uninstalled.
On Android, an application itself doesn’t know about its uninstallation (it doesn’t get any event or so from the system) so it can’t really send any notification anywhere (like AMS to the portal).
