HI Was wondering if someone could answer a question for me and tell me if it is true or not? You see I use outlook Express 6 for my email program and last night when it download the emails from the server I got several emails the same subject and same date, and time what I would like to now is if you receive the same email name and subject line and same date and time. Is it true that you can have a virus on your computer.

Some spammers could send a lot of identical emails. Sometimes, the problem is in your ISP that ‘duplicates’ the received messages.
To be sure, run a full scan with avast and others with antispywares and antitrojans 
Inbound email isn’t an indicator that you have a virus, outbound emails, now that is a different story. If multiple emails are being send from your system without your initiating them, then it is likely you have been infected by some spambot malware.
To guard against that ensure you have avast email scanner (it detects multiple outbound identical emails) a firewall that monitors outbound traffic (windows XP’s firewall doesn’t do this).
Spammers and peoples systems that have become infected with some form of spambot send out thousands of spam/infected emails, often the header information is faked so it can look like it was sent at the same time.
I would remove your email address from your post on a publicly accessible web page that malicious bots trawl to find email addresses to add to Spam Lists, unless you want more of the same. Not to mention we don’t (certainly I don’t) respond by email, only in the forums as any answers given may help many people not just one.

Never give out your personal mail address on a site, on a forum or in a form. For these purposes use a Yahoo mail-address or a temporary mail address. Spammers have grazing bots to graze for mail addresses on-line. If you like to avoiud this make sure they cannot get it. Also educate your relatives to keep your pesonal mail address private, they should not use it for e-cards, actions etc, because siteowners see mail-addresses as tradable goods. Your private data do not belong on a computer that is connected to the net period.
I learned that rule by experience. Now I do not forget it anymore.
