I’ve noticed in the email messages about the updates, that I get this error message: “avast! PUSH update: error during processing.” with every Avast update now for the last several weeks.
What is causing this and should I be concerned about it?

Yes 5.0.418 is the latest version, though in a short time that is likely to have an update (some improvements and fixes on the .418 build).
