Hi,
Not sure if you are experiencing this, but I manage several Windows 7 SP3 pcs and have been running Avast pretty much for ever. All the PCs have the latest running version of Avast. Yet… since a few months ago, if I disable Avast (e.g. Disable until computer is restarted) the Icon in the Taskbar DOES NOT change. It used to change to the blotchy virus with a red circle and an “X” in it. Now… nothing… Which is incredibly annoying since I can’t tell if the AV is enabled or disabled without going through the GUI / Settings / etc.
Can anybody from Avast fix this???
Tx!
Max
Hi Max, you can submit a bug report in “About Avast”.
Have you looked at your setting for Avast tray icon animation:
Menu>Settings>General>Notifications>[Animate Avast tray icon when scanning]
Yes. Tx. That setting is unrelated to my problem.
Yes, I did.
