Thank you drhyden1 !

Yes, it looks like Windows Vista (mentioned in this thread started by MacLover: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=24052.0 ) and IE7 are coming pretty soon, much sooner than we have speculated. So I guess that’s really good news, especially from the computer security point of view.

Vista RC2 works really good on my end, and the only thing that doesn’t work is my old integrated Intel dial-up modem which I use just as a fax when needed, nothing else. No Vista drivers at Intel website for this model yet. But sure, it is really nice to see that everything else works as it should.

Thanks again for posting these links drhayden1 !

i have windows media edition can i use IE7?

Since Media Center Edition is XP I would guess that you could

Microsoft declined to confirm whether it would release IE tomorrow as part of its patch process, only to say that it planned the release sometime this month.

Declined to confirm? Not quite denied, so there remains a tiny chance that IE7 will turn up on your doorstep tomorrow? :stuck_out_tongue:

Microsoft plans to push out Internet Explorer 7 as a ‘high priority update’ when it ships security patches tomorrow-guess we will have to wait and see ::slight_smile:
