hi! As title:
it is normal that i can’t have Avast Online Security plugin in IE and Edge? I only have it on Firefox.
Trial version of AIS, on Windows 10 x64. Not supported for those 2 browsers?
I believe that Edge is a. too new and still in development and b. Microsoft only does add-on stuff through updates or the app store.
As far as IE 11 goes there is a setting that prevents this (smart screen or something), previously you could disable that. But I think that avast have found this to be a hassle and have stopped trying to install the AOS add-on on the latest MS browsers.
I don’t know this for sure as I neither use IE11 or Edge, not having win10, but there are many such topics I have seen.
Edge didn’t supported add-ons/plug-ins till the anniversary update (if I remember correctly).
avast was considering creating one when Edge would allowed them, but I’m not sure about the status of it.
Too bad avast hasn’t got a FAQ page for AOS (at least I couldn’t find it).
Yes, it’s normal under W10.
