IE AND OPERA

Is SpywareBlaster doing the same thing to Opera browser, that It is doing to IE6 ? Thanks.

I’m not sure, but Opera is not being protected…
Spybot protects opera with immunization if I’m not wrong.

I don’t believe so as there is no mention of Opera in the SpywareBlaster interface/settings only IE and Firefox.

Though I believe the Restricted Sites works with browsers that use the IE engine (clones), but that wouldn’t be Opera either.

See image of blaster help file Other Browsers and you will see ‘no mention’ of Opera.

Blocked site protection of OpenDNS works regardless of the browser.

Opera’s antiphising & OpenDNS antiphishing works to keep browsing safe.

I’ve never had any problem with Opera regarding safety. I wont consider using any browser but Opera for online banking! In addition, I’m now using OA Pro’s banking mode. Thanks to Givawayoftheday. ;D

Good Info., Thanks to all. :o

You’re welcome, surprising how helpful the ‘help’ file is ;D

Absolutely right DavidR, Except the help file usually tells me every thing, except what I really want to know. ;D

OFF TOPIC:
@ hines232

I noticed in your sig that you have Java 5 Update 17 installed, recently Sun released Update 19, so it is probably a good idea to install that from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp. Also, Sun is cutting support for Java 5 on October 30th, so no more patches after that date.

Maybe its because WinME does not want you to know that it is almost extinct ???

Don’t think ME is supported in 17. Can’ really tell, never can find out OS that is supported. Thanks Go Pack Go

Yeah, But it has been a lot better than what followed---------- Check out Avast forums. ;D
