This is my first post so please excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere. I am running Avast Home 4.6.731 with Windows XP Pro SP2 and IE6.0 SP2.
IE6 hangs when Avast is running but when I disable the problem goes away.
Any ideas, gentlefolks?
Was everything working previously or is this directly after installation?
What are you disabling to make the problem go away?
What is your firewall?
Does it allow ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Shield) access to the internet?
Solved it by excepting the program in indows Firewall - thanks!
