If you need Help, This might get you results!

1. Learn the language - Explain your problem in proper terms.
If you have a problem with your Monitor, telling us that you have a
computer problem isn’t really going to help us or you.

2. Share important details - What version of Windows are you running?
What steps have you already tried to resolve your problem?
What triggers the problem?
What version of avast are you running - Any other Security Related programs ?
What was your old anti Virus program and how did you remove it ?

3. Don’t go overboard - Give us the facts, just the facts. All other things that aren’t relevant
only cloud the issue. I know you’re upset but, the sooner your problem is fixed, the better you’ll feel.
Then you can tell all your friends on Facebook how happy you now are.

4. The subject of your post - Make it something that describes the problem briefly. If we can’t understand
your problem, the chances of getting the problem resolved become less certain.

5. Google Is Your Friend - Before you ask your question, see if you can’t already find the problem
by doing a Google Search. If you get an error message, Search it in Google. Most of the time, someone else
has already had the same problem and, probably solved it.

6. If your problem is Virus or Malware Related - Start your own topic in the Viruses and Worms Forum
You’ll find the instructions for the Programs needed and the logs to be posted at: Logs to assist in cleaning Malware
Following these simple steps will make your quest for results on this forum or any other forum successful and,
make all of us happy.

A comprehensive set of instructions on Successfully Installing avast! for the Windows OS can be found at:

For the avast! Removal Tool, I’d suggest the following Since I covers all version:

This can be run from regular mode since it will allow you to switch to Safe Mode from within the removal tool.

I mentioned them just in case you get that sticky.
You’re right I linked to the wrong uninstaller.
