IFrame in cached site from archive.org

Hi,

I am currently troubled by the followin question:

I wanted to have a look at an older version of a website. For this purpose I use archive.org.

The site in question in its cached version has various ads and an iframe embedded.

Do these iframes automatically become active while visiting the cached site (i.e. in this case a site being cached in its version from 2007)?

My example is the following:

I visited http: //web.archive.org/web/20070322204521/http://www.knobler.com/bradstreet.html

The site has an embedded iframe:
http: //iframe.leadacceptor.com/default.aspx?cid=xX1TAVh6EQABMl0BcxFdUxahDBxhmu221f4a0NJqG-B57GPSBA==&aid=vK0WSgIrE1FbXk1AHgJIQCFfUUAQXFlXUh4Njtsp3dIUTrQsBQ==&pview=knobler.com

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Ideally this should have been in the viruses and worms forum.

Iframes aren’t inactive as they are an integral part of the web page, so open the page and the iframe would try to load its content. This big string in the iframe of what looks like obfuscated code, but is a CID (possibly a customer ID number) and may be considered suspicious.

I visited the page and didn’t get an alert, that was using firefox 7.0.1. I don’t go checking out suspect sites with IE8. So I don’t know if this is IE specific, though iframes are a cross browser supported feature.
