Hi… I’m new here, so if I’m missing the answer already posted, I apologize but I came up mostly empty when I looked.
Avast identifies a malicious iframe file every time I begin to access my web site using FrontPage. I’m pretty sure it’s a local issue since it appears just before I authenticate. If I do proceed to authenticate the iframes will attach themselves to my web pages. I run scans, cleans, boot scans, system restore is turned off, but inevitibly as I begin to access my web pages with Frontpage, Avast keeps letting me know there’s a new problem in a file similar to this… C:\Documents and Settings\Mom and Dad\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\7LSKK7BB_vti_inf[1].htm . The moving target piece of this filename is the 7LSKK7BB dir will have a different name every time.
Any advice on how to search and destroy this little bugger would be much appreciated.
My website is hxxp://www.speechboosters.com, but as I mentioned, these new files are appearing prior to my authenticating. I haven’t followed through with authentication in days, and I clean up, and new ones keep reappearing, so while I may have problems at the server end (which my powweb hosting provider has cleaned up numerous times), I’m pretty sure I have some local coruption re-establishing these files at either boot time, or front page run time or something.
Mr.Agent - Is there some advice I should be following on the link you posted?
Google safe browsing says your site is suspicious, unmask parasites says suspicious.
my testing software revealed link to m-analytics.net, which is really dangerous and may harm one’s computer. it is in the iframe. be careful. see the link which tech gave you.(stopbadware.org one).
