I checked around the site for the tutorial on how to send files to the virus lab for testing, and it seemed to be OK. However, what I was looking for is, what fields in the form MUST be filled in to submit a file for testing, and where do you find the information? (There’s no sound in the tutorial, and it was hard to see what the presenter was doing.) I would assume that for the field that says “version”, right-clicking, and selecting “Properties” would provide that information? However, about a year ago, I could not find all of the data requested on the form when I requested a file to be tested.
If the team could provide examples of what to put in the form, so that people can not be frustrated when they can’t find information, using JPEG examples and comments, the Avast community can use this step-by-step format, so people know what data should be included, and what can be left out.
So right now, the only optional fields for submitting a file for testing are the e-mail address and comments, correct?
