I'm having trouble moving a boot-time scan detection to virus chest

Hi all-

Yesterday i ran a boot-time scan on my computer. When it was complete it there was an infection labeled “Java: Jade-C (Heur)” and that it was the only infection detected while running the scan. I then typed the number corresponding in the boot scan menu to move it to the virus chest, and the next thing to pop up under the menu of choices was the message “errorOXc000007b (bad image)”, i then typed the “move to chest” option again only to have ANOTHER message appear-“errorOX80000006 (no more files)”. Not sure what all of these mean, but there’s more.

So i went ahead and hit ESC to boot up my computer and it booted up fine. I went to the Virus Chest to see if the supposed infection(s) had transferred over and it hadn’t. It was empty.

So what am i doing wrong? I’m afraid to hit the delete button on this supposed infection because i’m worried this may be a false positive. And why is it not showing up in my virus chest after i tell it to in boot-time mode?

Thanks guys and gals!

-Mike

Are you able to upload the detected file to www.virustotal.com and test it with 43 malware scanners ? when you have the result, copy the url in the address bar and post it here
