IM Shield Activity XP SP3

I never use IM, and normally see no avast! IM Shield activity.

Just lately my XP machine has started to show occasional IM Shield activity (no detections, just scanning).

Anyone else noticed anything recently?

Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve set IMshield report file to include OK items for the time being, so if it happens again I should find out the cause.

OK - I was busy downsizing from UK to England.

Don’t know - I’ve never actually caught it happening. I’ve noticed it also happens with W7 though - see snip.

I have set report for all IM shield scanned files, so I will find out what it is next time it happens hopefully.

OK, the cause seems to be secunia psi. Whatever it uses to download during a scan seems to be treated by avast as IM.
