I'm so frustrated

Okay, here is the deal
I can’t view pictures on websites, I have run my avast…nothing…my spyware…nothing…my adware…nothing.
And ever time I reboot, my avast has a “what I call a no smoking sign” on the symbol and says subsystem detected a RPC error. no matter what I do it doesn’t fix it.

I am beyond frustrated at this point. And to top it all off…my system is as slow as a snail!!!

Can you try the following as you may have a corrupted download.
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove
Then choose Repair function in the pop up window (Repair). You must be online to effect a repair

If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?

Get back when done, and welcome

See http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=12317.0;topicseen 8)

Thanks. I have gotten Avast back up and running. I appear to still have problems viewing graphics and pictures. Any clues as to what I should first begin to do?

What browser?

Check your various browser security settings, such as blocking images. Clear your browser cache, etc.

I felt the same way last week as i had a similar problem and i eventually tracked it down to a setting within, I thought , internet explorer options where a setting for web filter was ticked and by unticking it I got back the ability to view all pictures . Even though I predominantly use firefox I was unable to view (not all but some) pics in either. ???
Having read your post i went back and tried to confirm the exact location and ??? do you think I could find it. Even searching widows help turned up nothing. So if anyone likes wild goose chases ,here lies a challenge. :stuck_out_tongue:
