If I reinstall avast, does it become default before I import the settings?
A clean reinstall would effectively start from a clean slate, default settings.
So an Export of the existing settings is crucial if you wish to retain them.
However, you don’t say why you need to do a reinstall ?
If that was because of issues (you don’t know if that was modified settings related), then you may want a clean reinstall to default settings.
