Upgrade to the latest version (4.6.588 beta) and Avast should be able to handle them.
(SEE HERE)

or just simply delete the infected mail.

thank you for your help. I follow the link, update my avast, scan again but virus doesn’t delete.

I don’t find the file, so if I put it in quarantine, isb their any danger ?

thank you,
jm

As long as the infected file is in the virus chest, it can’t do any harm to your system.

Just to make sure your system is clean:

  • click on the link in my signature
  • follow the instructions in the malware removal section

thank you

Take care you could be movig the whole MS Outlook.pst file (\Dossiers personnels\partie supérieure des dossiers personnels\Boite de reception), not just the infected email.

If you can identify the infected email within the outlook email folder then you could manually delete the email and clear the deleted emails folder.

thank you david,
but from where can I find the oulook infected file ?

I’m not an Outlook user (MS OE), but I’m assuming that the email ends up in your inbox or another mailbox dependant on your email filter/rules. You would have to check the inbox for email received about the same time you got the warning and later, this part of your path may give you a clue to the emails subject and possible attachment.

As in the \Dossiers personnels\partie supérieure des dossiers personnels\Boite de reception\ email folder with a email subject of ‘Mail_delivery_failure<3787>’ and an attachment of ‘mail.com

Once you access the email or open it avast will warn again, that is the email to delete. I’m afraid that there is no quick way to do this as it would appear that this virus was already in the outlook mailbox and was found on a scan, rather than on receipt of the email ?

BJR JMFOUCAU.lLa version 4.6 est une beta tu peux la telecharger dans ce forum dans la rubrique beta incluse dans la rub avast home &pro.

hi david

I could find the infected email in by mail recept box !!

If I delete it now, by putting it in the garbitch, virus will desepeare or is it to late, or is thir an other way ?

rgds,
jm

bj gGyl, merci pour ta coopération

If you are able to find it, yes, put it in the garbage, then clear the contents of garbage. The virus (infected attachment) should be gone and provided you didn’t open the attachment, you should be ok.

But run a scan again to be sure.
