Hi, I would just like to make sure that a improperly uninstalled program (messed up game in my case) that will not ever be touched again, won’t have any negative impacts or effects on the computer in any way.
Is that correct?
Thank you.
Your question really isn’t very clear. Improperly removed program meaning what? How was it improperly removed?
What was used what steps were taken to remove the program and, why wasn’t it done the normal way.
It also depends on the program that was removed.
We need more detailed information in order to answer your partially phrased question.
Old game (Roller Coaster Tycoon) that the scratched CD doesn’t work for years.
I pressed “Uninstall” than pressed “Cancel” right away, to which it said that it couldn’t complete the task on uninstalling, and the usual minute it takes with a “Checking file” (or the likes) windows while it uninstalls didn’t happen.
But the program is gone from the list (though that didn’t happen immediately but rather after a delay), as well as its files from its “Program Files” folder.
As long as I know it won’t harm the computer, I don’t care of a few stuff (saved games date, etc.) are left behind since I won’t be bothering with it.
Thank you.
Since this wasn’t anything malicious, and it’s been removed from the obvious places, there shouldn’t be any problems with any leftovers.
Should you decide to re-install it, it’s still available:

Thanks, cause I was considering doing a system restore to properly uninstall it if its current status could harm my computer, but now I’ll just leave it.
Thank you.
Your welcome.
