In dire need of help! Firefox opens new tab with products to buy!

Okay!
My name is Tylur and I’m new to this forum.

I recently got infected with the rouge program called “System Defender”. I managed to download MALWAREBYTES and got rid of all 782 viruses on my machine that were not there the day before.
But I’m still having lots of problems like:

Firefox is opening multiple tabs with antivirus offers.
IE (which I never have used but to get firefox) is opening up to 100 pages with offers for antiviruses and porn.

I also hear two “click” noises through my headphones and then an advertisement plays without any video, just the sound, even if I don’t have any web pages loaded.

I’m sure there’s tons of other things wrong with my computer, I just haven’t came across them yet.

So please if anyone knows how to fix all of these problems, please post a How-To.

Love:
Tylur (noobie to avast! XD)

Hi Tylur

Your Malwarebytes database is old, 3201 latest is 3250. So update and run quick scan

clean out old files/temp/cookies/cache with CCleaner http://filehippo.com/download_superantispyware/
remove the tic for yahoo toolbar during installation.
In settings-advanced you remove the tic for “only remove files older then 24h”

Here is a removal guide for a newer version of the rogue
“SystemDefender” (see name in top left corner and over “Windows Advanced Security Senter” )

Remove System Defender (Uninstall Guide)

I updated my MalwareBytes and did a full scan and it found nothing, I also did a scan from Microsoft’s OnceCare support. It fount 6 threats and 3 infections but cant fix them.
I think the only thing left for me to do is a full system restore back to the factory defaults. I don’t have a back up date so I cant back up my computer…

Could you post the log from Onecare, also try running HijackThis, choose scan and save a logfile, then copy/paste the txt log.http://filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
