I see no option for Avast to scan my SD card for viruses.does this feature not exist in the avast product?

Why are any MicroSD cards installed in the mobile not scanned?
Apps can be installed and run from the MicroSD card, so failing to scan the MicroSD card would appear to be a major omission.
