In the log viewer I have an update executed as a normal user instead with SYSTEM

In the log viewer I have an update executed as a normal user instead SYSTEM: why? a bug?

I’m just guessing and could be completely wrong.
But, maybe, that VPS update could be manually started by the user, so…

but the updating process runs always as SYSTEM. I think there’s a bug in avast

Not if manually started, it is run as the local user, that is one of the reasons given for not doing this (use the Simple User Interface or Program Settings, Update Basic, Update Now), as in Vista the UAC won’t allow a local user to update using ashDisp.exe, a local start-up entry.

I have two entries in my log as a local user the rest are System, unfortunately I don’t recall if I did a manual update at the date and time.
