I have been having BSOD issues on my pc and noticed something.
About every 15 minutes after startup my PC gets a BSOD with the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message.
I looked around and everyone told me to update drivers, so i did, doesn’t seem to help
I noticed when i do a smart search with Avast it instantly triggers the BSOD, which doesn’t happen with other actions i take.
So my question is as follows: What does the smart scan actually do and in what order? It may help me to get closer to the issue at hand.
Sent the logs to the e-mail, thanks for looking into it.
I have been toying around with the drivers on my pc and set back the operating system.
I am not sure if avast is causing the problems, it may be, but i was more interested in the fact that doing a smart scan is the only thing i can do that triggers the BSOD.
It could also be that there is an automatic scan going on that triggers it, which may explain the BSOD triggers not happening right after startup but always after a couple of minutes.
If i know what the scan is doing(which i can’t find anywhere) it may help me awnser the question on what is going on with my pc.
Thanks for your 18 minidumps. All your crashes were caused by e1i63x64.sys driver (network driver), when did it start? You can start investigating this issue (did you install any network software lately? you can boot into safe mode with networking; update network drivers, uninstall some network apps, etc).
Thanks for looking into it.
The issues started last Thursday after a windows update i believe, I am not sure what you mean with “network apps” though.
I will look into it right now. Sorry for late responses, i have been very busy with university this week.
