Anti-theft was working until my Moto Razr Maxx upgraded to Android ICS which must’ve installed Verizon Remote Diagnostics. Now anti-theft is saying Verizon Remote Diagnostics occupies a very high SMS receiver priority that conflicts with anti-theft & it can’t be uninstalled. How do you resolve this conflict?

I’d like to look into this matter.
Could you please try the following: send a command SMS to your phone and see if it is displayed in clear text upon arrival (you can send it from your own phone to yourself aswell)

Thanks for the reply…I sent a lock & a locate comand & recvd. txt responses from both. The lock command worked, however, the locate comand txt response showed the phone to be in southeastern Oklahoma about 600 miles from where it actually was in central Iowa.

I SURE hope there is a solution to this or one in the near future. I’m currently using Lookout but after reviewing Avast Mobile, wanted to change. As far as I can tell, everything but the Anti-Theft is operational (due to the reason stated above). Verizon said you can’t uninstall it. Bummer!

What I was asking you to try was something different:

send a command SMS to your phone AND SEE IF IT IS DISPLAYED IN CLEAR TEXT upon arrival

if you actually see the command sms with the pin code.
your bad locate result is not due to the sms reception priority problem.
