incorrect ip detection??

I use a trial version of secure line vpn. made a location UK, but BBC4 website say - content available only for UK. What’s the problem?

I’ve tried that, but BBC still detect me as outside UK :frowning:

Can I check if you have a paid version of Avast Antivirus installed? If so, the issue may be being caused by Real Site (a component in paid versions of Avast). The BBC website can sometimes detect that you are attempting to access it from outside of the UK due to the way that Real Site prevents you from connecting to fake websites.

To resolve the issue, you need to add an exclusion for the BBC website. To do this:

  • Please open the main Avast application > click “Menu” in the top right corner > click “Settings”
  • Make sure that “General” is selected on the left hand side > click “Exceptions” in the middle column
  • Click the “Add Exception” button
  • Type/paste in dns://.bbc.co.uk and click “Add Exception”
  • Restart your computer

Strange situation, can watch online TV with iPlayer, but can’t watch a movie directly from Channel 4 website, it still detects wrong ip :frowning:
