HI, I am new here and just an user of the home version.
I don’t understand something. In the software in On-acces protection controll and then -Outlook- Incoming posts, standard is given that if Avast find infected e-mails they come standard in your box. I don’t understand this. Shouldn’t Avast put them in quarantaine?
I suggest you read the help and make yourself familiar with the options Avast offers. If there is something you don’t understand after reading, let us know.

In that topic it’s very confusing.
Click on Standard Shield and then on Customize.
Go to Advanced tab and select Silent Mode and the default answer No.
Do the same for the Internet Mail provider.
Silent Mode and default No will send the file to Chest.<

"Silent" mode. It is useful mainly for server operating systems. This option ensures that the resident protection will not require any user interaction and will not display any windows. For this reason, it is not recommended to set "choose action" on the Virus page in silent mode, because the interactive action choice requires user interaction of course. It is better to preset some particular action, such as deleting the file or moving it to Chest. With answer Yes (OK). All avast! questions that would be displayed on the screen under common circumstances, will be replied Yes. If the selected action is choose action after all, pressing the OK button will be simulated. With answer No (Cancel). All avast! questions that would be displayed on the screen under common circumstances, will be replied No. If the selected action is choose action after all, pressing the Delete button will be simulated (i.e. the infected file will be deleted).
ok,I’m reading the help and try to understand.I do my best.
Now I didn’t check the silent mode.
Some anti-virus programs are taking care of the infected mails themselves.
I understand that the Pro version of Avast is also doing this automaticcly.
And aren’t there also programs that the infected files delete already before they come into your box?

Some anti-virus programs are taking care of the infected mails themselves.Avast will do so if you enable silent mode. In the home version it is only possible to send the infected files/mails to the the chest, the pro version has more options.
How Avast will react when a infection is found depends on the settings you set.
So, as mentioned earlier in this topic it is best to check the silent mode at Sandard Shield and Internet mail provider and deafult answer: NO ?

Nope… You can choose ‘Yes’ and delete the file inconditionally.
As I said before, it’s better choose ‘No’ and then, after, delete the file from Chest. A deleted file cannot be recovered in anyway. A file sent to Chest could be recovered. Remember that, sometimes, you can have a false positive (a file that is not infected but avast! detects is like so…).
