I did a full scan thismorning and Avast found 1 infection, I deleted it it then suggested I run a boot time scan. I did that and now it has found 4 files that say zip file is corrupted!? This is what 1 of them says
File C:\users\chris laptop\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\low\content.ie5\c3cyxse\storagetechnologycontent[1].xip|>cd and dvd software drivers.pdf error 42125 {zip archive is corrupted}
Another on is almost the same but says “internetandnetworkingcontent”
All have the same error code of 42125 but the last one.
file C:\users\chris\appdata\locallow\sun\java\deployment\catch\6.0\24\208f3c98-5b2b3686|>folder\glocker.class is infected by java:agent-ec [expl]
It has options to delete, delete all, move to chest, move all to chest, repair, repair all, ignore, ignore all?
What do I need to do? Is this a bad infection? or nothing to be worried about?
Clean your system using Windows Disk Cleanup Manager, CCleaner, Wise Disk Cleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner. The last three are free and the first one comes with Windows.
Then update your Java. There was a security update released this week.
Restart your computer and scan with Malwarebytes (also free) and avast! to see if they find anything.
The free programs can be downloaded at CNET and/or File Hippo among other websites.
