A friend of my uses AVG anti virus and his computer got somehow infected by a virus and his computer is sending spam mail now. His IP is already blacklisted and his computer keeps sending data. He asked me for advice and, because of my good experience with Avast, I advised him to uninstall AVG and use Avast to clear the problem. So I installed Avast on his computer. After installation I did a bootup scan. So his computer rebooted completely and did a boot register check, etc, etc, after two hours Windows started without finding any virus or problem. Then I did a complete system scan that also returned with the message No Viruses found.

Could it be that this virus prevents Avast to install properly or to mask itself so Avast can’t detect it?? Please help me out…
