I cant tell what the virus does but it create one hidden folder on each of my drive. the folders on each drive has a different names and inside are some random type of files (on each folder the names are different) I cant tell what the virus does but avast cant detect it! even no malwarebytes. when I delete the files or folder then it creates again a random hidden folder with files
here are two screenshots from one drive I would love to know what the hell got attached to my computer and what to do next. the folders are only on main drives and not in the sub folder! and they update themselves each couple of hours with different names. I need to say that i didn’t see any fishy behavior yet so I have no idea what it does or what is going to happen ( i have avast free, malware byts and ransom free all installed and fully working and updated to the latest version
Have you by any chance installed Cybereason RansomFree on your system? Because RansomFree places “honeypot” folders with various fake files to catch ransomware as they try to encrypt files. Your case looks exactly like that. If you have installed RansomFree, this is normal and these folders/files are a part of this program.
I thought this is the case but thanks! I love you for this answer!!! yes I installed that but ransomfree dont specify that information lol! I got scared for like 2 hours !! thanks!!!
No problem
