Infection blocked when opening Firefox

Every time I first turn on my laptop, and open the browser, Mozilla Firefox, and yes it’s the most current version, although this did this with the last few versions, I get a notice that an infection was blocked. See the images attached below. Hell, I just turned it on, opened the Firefox browser and another tab and got no notice. Then I closed both tabs. Then guess what I got. The same notice I get as you’ll see below in the little images pages 1 of 2 and 2 of 2.

According to some research I’ve done, some say it’s related to the IE tab for Mozilla plug in. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1071186

Anyhow, again, see the attached screen grabs. The last one is what I get when I click on the view detailed report button for it. And as usual, any and all help is appreciated and I thank any and all in advance!!!

hey please follow this guide and attach the logs from frst+addation and mbam

a malware expert will help out when one is online later today

good luck

HI, thanks for the reply. But for the time being, once again, with luck of course, I think I may have fixed it myself.
How, that search I did, of which I worded differently this time and it brought up the IE tab suggestion that it was causing this issue, well, I figured what the hell and removed the Firefox add-on, then restarted Firefox. I’ve not gotten the infection locked notice. After several times of not getting it, I searched the Mozilla add-ons and found a better IE tab add-on and have installed that. And I have still not gotten the infection blocked notification as previously mentioned.

Doesn’t mean anything. Could just be a fluke. But please keep this thread open as if it happens again I’ll do as asked. If after 2, maybe 3 days I’ve still not gotten it, I’ll come back and reply asking that this thread be closed.

I had posted this in the general topics thread and one reply suggested/said malware issues should be done over here. So, as you can obviously see and tell, I did as suggested. I did also ask that the thread on this I started in general topics be closed by a moderator or whomever else does or can do this.

So again, please keep this thread open for a while so I can see if I have indeed figured it out on my own.

Thanks for the reply and for waiting a few days at the most in advance.

OKay, you can close this thread. As usual, I fixed it myself.

And GOD help me will I be glad when this subscription is over in October. Hello McAfee!!!

Bet you’ll close and or delete it now huh!!!

Yea I’m pissed. Even more so now. Because I tried to help someone that was having problems, one very similar to one I had and I offered them the suggestion to try what worked for me. Merely so they could rule it out as the cause. But then I get some personal message from someone that likely thinks they’re GOD’s gift to the tech world telling me it wasn’t a place to debate. I wasn’t debating shit. Just tried to offer the person a temporary fix that worked for me when the same thing happened to me with certain websites. Some one please tell me, How is that a f’ ing debate? I told them I had a similar problem, told them what I did and or what worked for me and to try it and see if it did anything for them. But this jack-ass goes and tells me I’m debating and includes proper links for debating and deletes the thread. So now the poor person who may still have the issue won’t know what I suggested.

As in the reply to that person who sent the personal message, you wanna ban me from the forum, go right ahead. It’s not done me a damn bit a good anytime I’ve posted something and every time I did looking for help, I ended fixing the issue/problem myself.

Every time I come here for help, every time I end up fixing it myself and every time some tool puts their two cents in where it isn’t wanted and wasn’t asked for.

I’m not looking forward to fall, but come on October. So I can Oktoberleavin Avast and say C’ Ya’!!!

I guess you had a rogue extension in Firefox… Good luck wit6h McAfee I tend to fix more of those than any other

hey i would suggest you follow the guide and let essexboy have a second look at your system, just in case there is something there. if you like then follow the guide i posted above.
