Could you provide a screenshot of the pop-up?
Right click on the avast tray icon>click “show last pop-up” Then take screenshot.
I get this too recently!! Help! This is the only result that came up when I searched this issue, I don’t know what to do. It also makes my computer run slow after so I’m getting scared… thank you for any help.

Yes I have Mac OS 10.6.8. Still getting this threat pop-up sometimes, though went a whole day without it, too, but showed up today again.
