Infinite Reboot with XP SP 3

I installed 5.0 Free version of Avast on my Windows XP computer with SP 3. When the computer rebooted after installation, once Avast 5.0 loaded, the computer would reboot over and over and over. Had to boot into Safe Mode, uninstall 5.0 and reinstall version 4.8. Have there been any other problems like this and have there been any updates to address this issue??

Do a clean uninstall of avast with this tool which you can download here:
http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

You can try to reinstall the avast 5.0 it should works :slight_smile:

Or else problem of minidump I think…

What was the version number of avast!? 5.0.???
