but I’m trying to find the Avast 4 ini file. Have looked in the C:\Program Files\ALWIL Software\Avast 4|data and still can’t see it. There are a couple of files there that Windows can’t open tho.

If you use Windows Explorer and the option ‘Hide file extensions for known file types’ is on, you will see this file as Name: Avast4, Type: Configuration Settings
