After the last update, a window keeps popping up saying something wants to change InoRT.exe. It also says things like changing this will have adverse effects… and only change it if you know what it is. At first I clicked no, then it pops up again and I click yes. But either way, it just keeps popping up, after a while of clicking yes/no, it’ll disappear only to come back a few minutes later. I tried reinstalling avast, but it doesn’t help. I have the free home edition on Vista.
I’ve been using it since April of last year. I remember there was an new edition, and after I installed it, that was when InoRT.exe started going crazy. I uninstalled by add/remove program. I looked at the URL, my size is close to 2 of the listed ones, but not exactly. (426,329 byes is mine.)
Was it correctly uninstalled… its files shouldn’t be in use anymore.
Is there any specialized tool to uninstall it? Registry keys and files left behind?
Oh sorry, I meant I have been using Avast since April of last year. I have never used Etrust antivirus. I reinstalled Avast, not Etrust antivirus. Sorry bad typo.
Hmm, wow. I have no idea how it got there. Probably my brother installed it on or something. Thanks for all the help, I’m going to remove it and see if problems arise again. Thanks again!
