Can anyone tell me why the insert notes that, incoming and outgoing emails have been scanned, all of a sudden becomes an attachment instead of in the body of the email. Its a real pain because every email now comes with this attachment -
Which is your email program?
Which is your operational system?
Are there any different setting into your email program to handle the attachments?
Does this occur with text and html emails?

I use outlook 2003 on a Dell inspiron 1721 with vista ultimate. yes to both HTML and text. I dont see any other settings in my email client to change how emails are handled. This problem has only just started in the last couple of weeks. Do you have any suggestions.

In fact, I’m guessing, I don’t really know (or remember) the exactly way to do that…
About the clean notes into the message body, can you try ‘Settings’ on my signature?
UseAlternateRtfSyncing value under [MailScanner] section:
Another mechanism for inserting notes into the body of emails in Microsoft Outlook. RtfSyncing is concerned with Rich Text Format. In emails, the user typically save both Rich text (HTML) and plain form of message. When you modify one type of message, RTFSync is the right function to synchronize text of message to the second form. Disable = 0.
Don’t forget that you will not see the inserted note in the ‘Sent Items’ folder of your mail program,
because avast adds the note after the mail leaves the mail program.
