Scheduling the Boot Time Scan

Click on the Menu button.
Choose Schedule Boot Time Scan.
Doing so displays a dialog allowing you to schedule virus scanning.
Check Archives, if you want scan all the archives.
Specify whether all the disks or just a specific folder should be scanned.
Select Advanced options for scheduling details.
Select how to automatically process infected files (suggestion: send to Chest)
Choose how to automatically process infected system files (suggestion: ignore/do nothing)
Click the Schedule button to confirm the settings.

Click on the Menu button.
What Menu Button ???

hello TECH,I appeciate the help & info SIR, the reason for question was becuse of a “minor problem”,

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=40400.0

take care ok,

It does depend on what your Operating system is - If you have XP, vista32bit or Win2k, you could enable a boot time scan.
Right click the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, a memory scan will take place followed by the opening of the Simple User Interface, Menu, ‘Schedule boot-time scan…’

Follow Tech additional steps for advanced options if you need.

Or see this explanation with images http://www.digitalred.com/avast-boot-time.php.

Strange, now that I’ve put my glasses on,
there is no problem. Sorry

I don’t understand the Schedule Boot-Time Scan is in both menu lists ?

Or are you saying clicking on it doesn’t work ?

My listings are the same as yours for clicking the Menu or right clicking the skin, clicking the Schedule Boot-Time Scan option pops-up the Boot-Time scan settings for either method of getting the menu list.

Two menus seems identical… Is that the first does not work? ???

lets see if I can help, heres how i do a boot up scan

Its all right we know how to do that and since you have done the boot-time scan you obviously did it right.

Bob is reporting something he thinks is different and we are trying to ask what is different.

If I would have put my glasses on, Mybe I would have seen that the option is listed in both. ;D :-[ :-[ :-[ ;D
I’m amending my post. Sorry

What!, I spent ages trying to find a difference in your images ;D ;D

Almost as bad as me attaching the wrong image ;D

David,
Since I just passed my 68th birthday, please forgive me it must be old age setting in. ;D
