Hi everybody, I’ve installed my first (and last?) Endpoint Protection Suite a week ago, after uninstalling an ADNM witch worked fine. One Server SBS2003 with EAS and 7 clients XP. I’ve 2 problems:
the clients can’t update VPS from the EAS mirror while the mirror is up to date - no errors - this issue has just been claimed on this forum and I think I’ve to wait a new release of the Suite. ok.
I’ve installed the clients by deploying .exe package, no problem. I’ve installed the package on the server and after rebbot nobody can reach the server, uninstalling package from server everythink returns normal.
Now, my server is without antivirus protection and Avast support is not really reactive, I think I can solve my problems installing a standalone product on my SBS2003, example setup_av_srvfile.exe . Is the license ok for this solution?
After investigation with network monitor, indicate that client not apply politics from EAS. All update traffic go to internet to avast servers. It`s really bug!

The file is here:
Please do the following:
1 - locate the following file in the installation of AEA - …mirror\lighttpd\conf\lighttpd-inc.conf
2 - re-name lighttpd-inc.conf to lighttpd-incold.conf just to make a backup file
3 - copy attached lighttpd-inc.conf file to that location
4 - restart mirror service
@advantage77
I’ve seen SOA pre-requisite and I chose Advanced Console, more similar to ADNM, perfectly running and just uninstalled from the same server.
I thank you for suggestion, I’ll try to apply the fix as soon as possible.
Bye F70.
deleted old certicate created one year ago by ADNM installation;
created package with only file system protection and script blocking - unchecked ALL flags on “components” and “server protection” (I don’t use Exchange and Sharepoint);
Created specific group “Server” with custom exclusion
Installed package on Server
once installed, opened console and moved new client under group “Server”;
restarted server …
… wait … wait …
… and after five terrible minutes … seems working.
bye. F70.
