SBS Suite is indeed the ideal choice for you. It provides protection for the server and all its components (Exchange, ISA…) as well as for the workstations.
If you buy the SBS suite, you have basically the following two choices:
either install the thing separately (manually). - I.e. Avast SBS Edition on the Small Biz Server, and Avast Professional Edition on the workstations
or use the ADNM.
If you ask me, I’d go with ADNM because of the extra features (reporting, centralized scheduling etc…). However, this is from my point of view because I know how to use it (i.e. don’t have to learn it).
Maybe it’d be interesting for you to have a look at the ADNM Administrator’s Guide and decide if this stuff is for you or not.
I am also new to this and have downloaded and read the 72 page manual on adnm and am at a total loss. There is no tech person really, just little ol me and I am up to the install package, but have no idea about the domain account, password stuff in order to deploy. Is there an more help available? I would love to use this feature but it is way over my head right now. Thanks Cherri
Cherri, it might be best to contact one of avasts resellers local to you. They maybe able to help with installaton consultancy if it appears to complex.
Thanks for the info. I have deployed without the ADNM for now…I want to play with that on my devolpment network a bit before I do a commercial install with it
So, I have Pro installed on the workstations plus the server version. When I purchase the Suite, will I get all of the necessary keys to license each client and the server?
