Installation on Vista

First, a suggestion: a new board for Windows Vista Beta support.
Then, the trouble. This is my second Vista installation. On the first, everything went fine, I’ve installed and registered avast! Pro.
After that, I’ve come back to Windows XP logon and formated the Vista partition. Installed again, update…
Now I’m getting this two error messages ::slight_smile:

Any help would be appreciated 8)

Tech,

is this a screenshot from the avast installer? I’m asking because normally, it should be digitally signed by our signature. But on your screenshot, it looks like the file is not signed – so maybe it’s just corrupted?

Thanks

I’ve downloaded while in Vista, just before installing… but I’ll do it again later, now I’m on XP

Yes, a download problem… Now the file is digitally signed by Alwil and installation run ok.
I also thought it could be an access problem: the ‘old’ setup was on a private folder of Windows XP. Vista could ‘see’ the contents and, maybe, couldn’t run from there.
I’ve copied the old setup to a Vista folder and nothing… same error.
Seems a corrupted download at the first time… ::slight_smile:

That’s one of the reasons the setup packages are digitally signed. If the signature is not validated, it probably means the download is corrupted.

Thanks
Vlk

I can confirm that it displayed Alwil Software and avast! Antivirus text when i installed avast! on Vista Beta 2. Tech, try to download avast! setup package through Vista again.

It’s what I’ve done and it worked. Thanks. 8)
