I installed the avast4 home edition but now when it got done windows is asking for a password . Only problem is there where never any passwords used on system what do I do ?
I doubt that problem was caused by AVAST!
What is your OS ?
The only password in avast is if you decide to protect your program settings to avoid tampering by other users, but you first have to set it up after installation. So I can’t see what it might be certainly not avast if you haven’t even set a password.
