I installed avast on in my WIndows 8 environment before I realized that it would conflict. After installation, I restarted the computer and now Windows will not start up. Is there a solution for removing avast at the system prompt for Windows 8? Thanks!
The current Windows 8 “releases” won’t allow you to use AV tools (except maybe MSE).
Try rebooting into Windows Safe Mode to uninstall it (I don’t even know if it has one Windows Safe Mode or if future releases will have it).
