Sounds silly but when I did a full scan, Avast found a few threats that were minor. But it also said it couldn’t find the path to about 5 .dlls that are related to Avast. I didn’t write them down but the program seems to work fine, it simply said it couldn’t find the path to the files.
So do I need to install Avast over itself or let it be?
Nothing to worry about, those are old virus definitions folders and avast is doing some housecleaning to keep the size used on the hard disk to a minimum. This just happens to have occurred between the time you started the scan and it reaching that old defs folder.
Thanks for the speedy reply! I expect Avast to have more followers since Avira is forcing people to accept a toolbar from ASK.com and an Avast search engine, to allow Avast to give them internet protection! That’s the whole point of an anti-virus lol.
Oh well I wish them well but will never use the program again.
