Fresh Windows 7 x32. Both offline and online installer aren’t launching. I double click on the installer and nothing happens.

That’s a pretty ancient system, but it worked perfectly on the same configuration under XP

Are you getting any errors displayed to the screen ?
What version of avast (free/pro/ais/premier and version number) are you trying to install ?

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

Perform a clean installation of avast with the offline installer.

  • Remove all folder/files/registry entries from avast
  • Run the installer
