installing avast for the first time on the computer

could i know pls the steps to install avast on my computer for the first time and shoul di be connected or disconnected from the internet

After you have downloaded the installation file I would say disconnect, there is no requirement to be on-line.

The only time you ned go on-line would be to register so you can be emailed a registration key, but you don’t have to do that right away. You can use the demo/trial key for up to 60 days.

If you have another AV installed after you download avast, disconnect, uninstall the existing AV, reboot and install avast. It isn’t advisable to have two resident AVs installed at the same time, which is why I mentioned it.

sorry again so after i download it when i need to instale it its advisable to go off the internet ?? just want to get this right?

You don’t have to, it isn’t a requirement to be on-line when you install, but I would advise being off-line, disconnect from the internet.
